Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer became the spiritual leader of Temple B'nai Shalom in 2013 after over a decade of serving congregations in Brooklyn, Syosset, New York, and Ridgefield, Connecticut. He was ordained from the Hebrew Union College after completing his studies at the New York and Jerusalem campuses. He graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University.
Rabbi Eisenkramer loves teaching, from the youngest learners in Tot Shabbat through b'naii mitzvah and adult education. He led workshops in adult Hebrew learning at the URJ Biennial and serves on community interfaith education panels, bringing together Jewish, Christian and Muslim clergy members to promote interfaith dialogue and understanding.
Rabbi Eisenkramer is co-author, along with Rev. Michael Attas, MD, of Fly-Fishing: The Sacred Art, published by SkyLight Paths, which explores the spiritual side of casting a fly. He also writes a blog, The Fly Fishing Rabbi: www.flyfishingrabbi.com
